Dimplex Cassette 500 and Cassette 1000 Opti-Myst Transducer
Original transducer for Dimplex Cassette 500 and Cassette 1000 hybrid fireplace. The transducer has a life expectancy of 12 months with normal use.
The transducer is the part in the hybrid fireplace that converts water into water dust. The transducer must be kept clean of scale and if scale builds up on top of the white round surface, the transducer cannot do its job.
If your hybrid fireplace no longer produces water dust, in most cases this means that the transducer no longer has the same effect and therefore needs to be replaced.
The transducer is easily replaced by removing the orange plastic nozzle. The plastic nozzle stands in the water, where it is held by a plastic clip. Remove the old transducer and snap the new one into place. Make sure the wire does not get pinched when the cassette is reassembled.
